Pointer Cookie Cutter

I made this cute Pointer Cookie using the

Pointer Dog Cookie Cutter from our Cloud K9®  website.

1. Use the dog shaped cookie cutter to cut the cookie from the sugar cookie dough and bake according to your recipe or package instructions.
2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the white decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.
4. Add the black spots, eye, ear and nose with black decorating icing as shown in the photo above. (It can help to use a toothpick for small details.)
5. Let the icing dry.

2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the white decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.
4. Add the black eye and nose with black decorating icing as shown in the photo above.
5. Let the icing dry.

Scottie Dog Cookie Cutter ( Scottish Terrier )

Today's post is in honor of Sadie, the Scottie, who won Best in Show yesterday at Westminster!

I made this cute Scottish Terrier Cookie using the

Scottish Terrier cookie cutter from our Cloud K9®  website.

1. Use the dog shaped cookie cutter to cut the cookie from the sugar cookie dough and bake according to your recipe or package instructions.
2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the black decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.
4. Optional: Add a red collar with red decorating icing and a plastic decorating tip or an icing writer.
5. Let the icing dry.

Dog Show Award Ribbon Cookie Cutter

In honor of the Westminster Best in Show Winner (Sadie the Scottie) today's blog provides the "how to" for the Dog Show Award Ribbon Cookie Cutter.

I made this cute Dog Show Award Ribbon cookie using the

Dog Show Award Ribbon Cookie Cutter  from our Cloud K9®  website.

1. Use the dog show award ribbon cookie cutter to cut the cookie from the sugar cookie dough and bake according to your recipe or package instructions.
2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the blue decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.  (I mixed blue food coloring with white decorating icing.)
4. Add the yellow outlines (as shown in the photo above) with yellow decorating icing and a plastic decorating tip or use a yellow icing writer.  Use the yellow icing to write '1st' in the center of the circle.
You could also write "Best in Show" instead of "1st Place."
5. Let the icing dry.

These cookies would be great for dog shows, national specialties, agility trials, obedience trials, fun matches, dog obedience school graduation, etc.

Beagle Cookie Cutter

The Best in Show Winner will be announced tomorrow at Westminster.

In honor of last year's winner...Uno, the Beagle, we are featuring the Beagle cookie!

I made this cute Beagle Cookie using the

Beagle Cookie Cutter from our Cloud K9® website.

1. Use the dog shaped cookie cutter to cut the cookie from the sugar cookie dough and bake according to your recipe or package instructions.
2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the white decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.
4. Add the eye and nose with black decorating icing as shown in the photo above.
5. Add the brown spots with chocolate decorating icing as shown in the photo above.
(Or use melted, and slightly cooled, milk chocolate chips for the brown spots. I used the back of a small spoon to spread the chocolate. )
(Remember: that chocolate is toxic to dogs and these cookies are only for people.)
6. Let the icing dry.

Valentine's Day Cookie ~ I Heart This Cookie!

I made a special cookie just for Valentine's Day using the Chihuahua cookie cutter from our Cloud K9® website.  But you could use any of the more than 80 dog breed cookie cutters on our website.

To start...follow our blog instructions for the Chihuahua cookie cutter.

To make the hearts, I used a red "icing writer" tube and added hearts all over the body of the Chihuahua. 

To make the hearts, I made 2 commas back to back:

                                    Start with a comma                   Add another comma.Voila! A Heart!

I heart these cookies!  Happy Valentine's Day!

2. Let the cookie cool completely before icing it.
3. Spread the white decorating icing to the edges of the cookie and let it dry.
4. Add the eye and nose with black decorating icing as shown in the photo above. (It helps to use a toothpick for these features.)
5. Add the dog collar with red decorating icing and a plastic decorating tip (or an icing writer) as shown in the photo above.
6. Let the icing dry.
